Iceland bows to pressure and offers compensation

The Icelandic government has, under pressure from (The Dark Lord) Peter Mandelson agreed to compensate Britons whose flights have been cancelled as a result of the volcanic activity in Iceland.

It is as yet unclear as to whether this offer will be extended to all EU citizens

This news will boost Labour's campaign which floundered once Nick Clegg refused join the Labour Party
