The opening Ceremony today was interrupted by a Giant Cat eating a number of the participants. LOCOG denied responsibility and said this event could not have been foreseen.
Mandelock, the Olimpit mascot made her first appearance, under armed guard. LOCOG wanted her to be treated like every other spectator at the games
