If you read about Hamish Meldrum of the British Medical Association, on Ward 87 you may think this man had some standing. However this is not the case, Hamish Meldrum's name has a horribly familiar ring because he is Victor Meldrew's the evil twin. Hamish has taken advantage of the name and reputation of his delightful and charming twin brother, Victor Meldrew.
Family also include the cast from Last of the Summer Wine. Need I say more?
For those who don't recognise Hamish Mildew, he is pictured top right and bottom left. The family resemblance is clear. Victor Meldrew is top left.
